5 Wines to Give as a Woman’s Day Gift

Women’s Day is coming and from Gourmet Hunters we want to share with you five proposals selected by our expert sommeliers, for you to know what wine to give as a gift to the women in your life.

A great option to give to an authentic woman is the biodynamic rosé wine Sicus Cartoixà Marí Rosé 2018, by the Catalan winery Sicus. Made from the indigenous Penedés Cartoixà Vermell grape variety, it is a delicate and fragrant wine, with only 9.5% alcohol content.

It undergoes a two-day cold maceration of the skins, alcoholic fermentation in 200-litre amphorae and five months of ageing in stainless steel tanks.

2. Tragolargo 2019

Tragolargo 2019 is a natural and captivating young red wine. Fruity and juicy, it is a wine that exudes a lot of personality. It is made from 100% Monastrell and has a 12.5% alcohol content. In its elaboration process, it goes through a process of spontaneous alcoholic maceration with indigenous yeasts and partially whole grape harvest.

3. Barranco Oscuro Salmónido 2019

Another great alternative to give as a gift on Women’s Day is one of our novelties, the Barranco Oscuro Salmónido 2019 rosé wine from the Barranco Oscuro winery.

This is a natural wine, which allows us to value the expressions of the terroir and the grape, without make-up or chemical additives. It is made from Pinot Noir grapes with 14.5% alcohol, with indigenous yeasts, without fining or added sulphites.

4. Altaroses 2018

Altaroses 2018 is a crianza red wine by Joan d’Anguera. Captivating, biodynamic and with a strong presence. With 14% alcohol, it is a wine made entirely from the Garnacha grape variety. It also undergoes an ageing process of 12 months in oak barrels and concrete tanks.

5. Bruno Paillard Première Cuvée Extra Brut Rosé

Our latest proposal is the French champagne Bruno Paillard Première Cuvée Extra Brut Rosé from the Bruno Paillard winery. With 91 Parker Points, this is a light and vibrant sparkling wine, with 12% alcohol, made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
