Rosé wines you can’t miss this summer

Rosé wines are ideal for the summer, both for their freshness and for their delicacy and lightness. At Gourmet Hunters, we would like to recommend some of our best rosé wine bottles for you to enjoy this summer. Below you will find a selection of six rosé wines, with proposals that can be more delicate or more fruity, with and without aging, and some of them even natural and organic.

 

1. Barranco Oscuro Salmónido 2018

The Barranco Oscuro winery offers this natural, delicate and fragrant young rosé wine from the region of Andalusia, ideal for combining with smoked foods as an aperitif. It has a 14.5% alcohol content and is made from the Pinot Noir variety.

As it is a natural wine, its elaboration process consists of a spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts, without clarification and without added sulphites.

 

2. Château de Pibarnon Rosé 2018

This young rosé wine produced by the Château de Pibarnon winery in the region of Provence (France), stands out for its delicacy, which makes it a perfect choice for a romantic dinner. It has 13.5% alcohol and is made from the Monastrell and Cinsault grape varieties.

 

3. Gran Caus Rosé 2019

This organic rosé wine from the Can Ràfols dels Caus winery in the Penedès region of Catalonia is one of our new products. It combines perfectly with rice dishes and fish or sushi, ideal for a business lunch. It has 13.0% alcohol and is made from Merlot.

 

4. Microbio Correcaminos Rosado 2019

The winery Microbio de Castilla y León offers us this natural young, fruity and vibrant rosé wine. This 13.0% wine, made from a blend of Tempranillo and Verdejo, goes perfectly with either Iberian sausages or sushi. As for its elaboration, it consists of a spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts and a later aging of five months in stainless steel tanks.

 

5. Tricot Rosé 2018

From the French winery Marie et Vincent Tricot, this young rosé wine is made in the Loire region from the Gamay grape variety. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, it is ideal for pairing with sushi.

 

6. Le Coste Rosato 2018

This aged rosé wine is natural and comes from the Italian region of Lazio. Delicate and fragrant, it is perfect to enjoy at an anniversary dinner, either with meat or fish. Its elaboration process consists of spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts in used oak barrels, and then an aging of ten months in old oak barrels, to finally go to a bottling without sulfites or additives.
