Red wines to charm

1. Matassa Tattouine Rouge 2019

What could be more romantic than French wine? This young red wine from the Languedoc Roussillon region of France from the Domaine Matassa winery is captivating, fruity and juicy. It is made from the Cariñera and Garnacha varieties and has an 11.5% alcohol content.

It is a natural wine, made from carbonic maceration and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts and whole clusters. It is aged for nine months in 500 liter old demi muids and is bottled without clarification or filtering.

2. Albahara 2019

Red wine from the Envínate winery, made from Garnacha Tintorera and with an alcohol content of 14.0%. The perfect option to enjoy in a romantic dinner with red meat. It is a fragrant, light and ecological wine.

In its elaboration, it goes through a process of spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels of 500 liters and then eleven months of aging in barrels.

3. Guignier Beaujolais La Bonne Pioche 2017

This red wine from Michel Guignier’s winery has an 11.5% alcohol content and is made from 100% of the Gamay grape variety. It is a natural wine, which goes through a process of spontaneous semi-charcoal maceration with a whole harvest without de-stemming and a spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts in epoxy tanks. Finally, it goes through a period of aging in oak casks, to be later bottled without filtering and without added sulfites.
