Description

Domaine De La Grand Cour Fleurie Champagne Cuvée Vieilles Vignes is a wine that comes from the traditional region of Beaujolais, France. This wine, made exclusively from Gamay grapes, comes from vineyards over 70 and 40 years old, situated on shallow sandy soils over granite at an altitude of 260 metres. Production is limited to 30 hl/ha, ensuring exceptional quality.

Winemaking

The elaboration of this wine follows a meticulous and environmentally friendly process, highlighting its ECOCERT certification since 2009. The grapes are harvested by hand and subjected to a natural vinification process in cement vats, without destemming or crushing, and fermented with indigenous yeasts. This process is carried out at low temperature and in an environment saturated with carbon dioxide gas, without adding sulphur. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 8 months, without fining or filtering, which contributes to its authentic, earthy character.

Domaine De La Grand Cour Fleurie Champagne Cuvée Vieilles Vignes is a dry, medium-bodied wine. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet with aromas of rose petals, cinnamon, raspberries, griottes cherries and blood orange. On the palate, it is distinguished by its vibrant energy, fine tannins and a long, penetrating finish. This wine is known for its ability to age gracefully, developing greater complexity over time.
