Description
Jean Françoise Coutelou comes from a family that has been dedicated to winemaking in France for more than a hundred years, however, his career stands out for being one of the main promoters of natural wines in this country.
Such is the case of the Mas Coutelou Flower Power wine, which is produced with the minimum intervention in the Mas Coutelou Winery and which goes very well with both meat and seafood, making it a very versatile wine with a floral and fruity aroma.
Winemaking
Mas Coutelou Flower Power red wine is made at the Mas Coutelou winery with grapes of the Aramon, Syrah, Muscat and Cinsault varieties. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, while ageing is carried out in concrete and fibreglass tanks. Finally, the wine is bottled without fining or filtering.
This wine owes its name to a planting model whereby Jeff Coutelou plants more than twenty varieties of blended grapes.
Taste
This is a fruity and juicy wine, a little acidic, which leaves a taste of red fruits on the palate. Mas Coutelou Flower Power is round and also leaves fruity and floral notes on the nose. The traditional methods used by Jeff Cotelou to cultivate his vineyards allow the wines to express the terroir to the fullest, and this wine also leaves a hint of sweetness on the palate.
The power of flowers
The organic red wine Mas Coutelou Flower Power has smoky notes and goes very well with red meats, white meats and poultry. It even goes well with mussels, shellfish and paellas. Best served at 16°C for maximum enjoyment.
