Description
Dönnhoff Dellchen Riesling Grosses Gewächs comes from the renowned Dönnhoff winery, whose origins date back to 1761. The Dönnhoff family has been cultivating vineyards in the best locations for generations, and their passion and dedication are reflected in every bottle they produce.
The wine is made from the Riesling grape variety, which is grown on steep terraces in a rocky hollow. The soil, composed of schist and porphyry, together with the protection of the surrounding rocks, allows the Riesling grapes to ripen to perfection year after year.
Winemaking
The wine is fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks, giving it a distinctive freshness and purity. With an alcohol content of 13.0%, this Riesling presents itself as a dry white wine, ideal to be enjoyed between 2023 and 2040.
Taste
Dönnhoff Dellchen Riesling GG is characterised by being tremendously spicy and at the same time energetic and elegant. It has a fascinating depth, with a broad spectrum of fine yellow fruit aromas and a floral note. Its texture is so sensual and silky that descriptors such as "full" and "light" become redundant. The finish is impressive and leaves a lasting impression on the palate.
