Description
Rietsch Alsace Pinot Noir is a fresh and vibrant red wine, defined by experts as juicy, as well as lingering on the palate with subtle fruity notes balanced with a light carbonic touch, determined by the type of ageing.
It is a single-varietal wine, made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, with no chemical intervention in any of the production phases, guaranteeing that each element is the fruit's own expression.
Like all the wines from the Rietsch winery, this wine is classified as an artisanal and vegan wine, pleasing from the most traditional palate, to the tastes of the adventurer who prefers the taste of natural wine.
Winemaking
The Rietsch Pinot Noir vineyard has clay and limestone soils, which determine the quality of the fruit from which this wine is made. The vineyard is located in Mittelbergheim, Alsace, which is the same location as the winery.
After the traditional harvesting process, the grapes are subjected to a fermentation phase with indigenous yeasts and without destemming, followed by a semi-carbonic maceration for a period of 16 days.
The resulting wine is then aged for a period of 6 months in 1500 litre foudres, without the addition of any sulphites.

Rietsch Alsace Pinot Noir is an intense red wine, which denotes the presence of red fruits of the forest, combined with spices. It has a long lasting finish with a subtle hint of spiciness.
