Description
The renowned winegrower Goyo García put into practice all his knowledge of organic viticulture to create this exclusive red wine, which he named after the estate where the grapes from which it is made are grown.
Goyo García Valdeolmos wine has an intense fruity and floral aroma, and it is the most suitable wine to accompany different types of meat. It is a red wine that expresses the terroir very well.
Winemaking
The organic red wine Goyo García Valdeolmos is made from Tempranillo vines coming from vines over a hundred years old grown in the Valdeolmos Estate located in Burgos, with red sandy soils with limestone, located at an altitude of over 800 metres.
The grapes are harvested by hand when they reach their optimum ripeness, then the best ones are selected, and in the winery, the bunches are destemmed and pressed without crushing. The must is cold macerated for 15 days.
Afterwards, traditional fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 15 days, and the wine is aged for 18 months in extra fine grain oak barrels from Burgundy, and then aged for a further year in the bottle, without filtering or clarification.
Taste
The natural red wine Goyo García has an intense ruby colour, with violet reflections. It is a fruity and fragrant wine, with floral aromas and hints of wood, complex and intense.
Ithas firm tannins and a long and persistent finish, as well as a great ageing potential.
