Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2016 Trompo is a new bottling produced in a joint venture with the guys from La Tintorería wine shop in Madrid. It's a Tempranillo from cooler parts of the village with a short time in oak (from 2017 in oak vats, the first from them in larger oak containers). It feels quite balanced and clean, with integrated oak and a pleasant mouthfeel. This could even be a completely separate project from Arrocal, but for now I included it here, as it's the information that was provided by the winery. 20,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2018.
Between 14ºC and 16ºC
Fermented with indigenous yeasts. Aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.
