Description
Sentits Negres is an aged red wine made exclusively from the Garnacha Tinta grape by the Bodegas Puiggròs winery under the DO Catalunya designation of origin.
The grapes used to make this wine come from old vines, more than 80 years old, located on clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 450 to 650 metres above sea level, which gives it exceptional qualities to the terroir.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand at their optimum ripening point. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at between 28 °C and 32 °C, with maceration and punching down for 23 days.
Finally, the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. The bottling is done without filtering, showing itself to be distinguished from beginning to end, and accumulating international awards and recognitions.
Taste
Sentits Negres is a wine with floral and fruity aromas and exquisite spicy notes. On the palate it is structured and silky as well as complex and deep.
It has ripe tannins that make it unbeatable while the acidity balances it and keeps it very lively. The finish is long and persistent.
