Description
The wine 4 Monos Aguja del Fraile is a unique expression of the viticulture of the Cadalso de Los Vidrios region. This wine is distinguished by its composition, being mostly Garnacha grapes from old vines, complemented with a small addition of Cariñena. These varieties are grown on high elevation plots with sandy granite soils, which gives distinctive characteristics to the wine.
Winemaking
The winemaking of 4 Monos Aguja del Fraile is a careful, artisanal process. The grapes are harvested by hand, selecting only the best bunches. Afterwards, a cold maceration of whole bunches is carried out, followed by fermentation with wild yeasts. This process is carried out using whole bunches of grapes and lasts between 21 and 40 days, varying according to the plot. The wine is aged in 300 and 500 litre French and Austrian oak barrels for 14 to 15 months. This meticulous vinification process culminates in a light fining and bottling without filtering, thus preserving the purity and authenticity of the wine.

4 Monos Aguja del Fraile has a ruby red colour, with a low and bright robe, inviting you to discover its complex aromas and flavours. On the nose, it has a medium intensity with aromas of red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries, which give way to spicy notes and a subtle florality, all on a background of mineral character.
On the palate, the wine reveals its vivacity and the presence of good red fruit. It has a medium-light body and round tannin, characteristics that are complemented by spicy and balsamic notes of long persistence. The finish is saline, providing a distinctive and refreshing touch. This set of qualities makes 4 Monos Aguja del Fraile a very rich and balanced wine, ideal to enjoy on various occasions.
