Description
Trasnocho is an exceptional wine with a strong fruity expression, in which the Remírez de Ganuza winery displays its technical skill in the production of renowned Rioja wines.
Its almost 60 hectares of plots are distributed among four locations in Rioja Alavesa: Samaniego, Leza, Elciego and Laguarda.
It is a Reserva that is distinguished by the winery's innovative extraction technology, a unique system of its kind.
Winemaking
It is made with grapes from vines that are at least 60 years old.
The wine is harvested, and then the grapes and bunches are picked by hand. The wine is then fermented in 7000 liter French oak vats and small stainless steel tanks.
The wine is aged in new French oak barrels for 20 months.
Taste
A powerful, nuanced and elegant red, with a marked expression of fruit at the right point of ripeness, round and pleasant, and with enormous aging potential.
A wine made with an avant-garde system
The wine was made with an innovative extraction technology created by the winery, which consists of inserting a PVC food-grade bag filled with water inside the vat and squeezing the skins, releasing 70% of the wine still in the skins. This simple process prevents the wine from oxidizing due to friction between the skins.
