Description
Románico red wine is an authentic expression of Tinta de Toro, a 100% pure grape variety, massively selected and perfectly adapted to the climate and soil of the Toro region. This wine comes from vineyards managed under a philosophy of integrated viticulture, respectful of the environment, which minimises intervention and avoids the use of herbicides or systemic products, in harmony with the biorhythms of nature.
Winemaking
This wine, from the young vines of Valdefinjas and Toro, Zamora, is a single varietal that is expressive and direct, without losing the identity and fruity character of the area. Its cultivation respects the surroundings and the environment, with minimal intervention and perfect adaptation to the terroir. Harvesting is done by hand, selecting only the fruit in optimum health and ripening conditions, both in the vineyard and in the winery. Vinification is traditional, with treading and light pumping over, fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration on the skins for 21 days. Ageing is carried out for 6 months in second-use French oak barrels, which contributes to its unique aromatic and taste profile.
Taste
Románico stands out for its intense purple colour and an aroma that combines red fruit with floral nuances. On the palate, notes of liquorice are revealed, supported by a solid tannic structure and a perfect balance between acidity and freshness. The aftertaste is dominated by ripe red fruit with light spicy notes, offering a complex and satisfying taste experience. We recommend serving this wine between 14 and 16 ºC, to fully enjoy its qualities.
