Description
Ramón Bilbao Reserva is a red wine made with grapes of the Rioja soil varieties: Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano.
In the gastronomic field it is the ideal accompaniment for traditional dishes such as red meats, game and cured cheeses, as well as international food such as curry, cebiche and spicy dishes.
Elaboration
This wine is made from the typical Rioja grape varieties Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano, which come from the vineyards of the Rioja Alta with an average age of 40 years.
Once the appropriate soils have been selected, the winemaking process is geared towards preserving the primary properties of the fruit. This is done through a complex process, in which pre-fermentative macerations are used for 3 to 4 days, post-fermentative macerations for 5 to 7 days, pumping over and punching down daily.
The wine is aged in American oak barrels from Missouri and Ohio for 20 months. Ramón Bilbao Reserva is kept for 20 months in the bottle before being released onto the market.

Ramón Bilbao Reserva has a complex and intense aroma, in balance with the aromas from the barrel ageing. These aromas are in a state of evolution.

It is a wine with a medium-high intensity, balancing good acidity and high levels of integrated alcohol. It is a structured wine. A drink that delights the palate in which ripe fruit notes predominate, well harmonised with tertiary aromas typical of ageing.
