Description

Méli Mélo wine is an authentic and vibrant expression of viticultural diversity. This wine, whose name translates as "hodgepodge" in French, is a testament to the richness and complexity that can be achieved by blending different grape varieties. Sourced from the varied terroirs of Montigny-lès-Arsures, Molamboz and Arbois, Méli Mélo is a careful selection of harvested grapes characterised by their freshness and pronounced minerality. The blend includes Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Gamay, Chardonnay, Savagnin, and other old varieties, all organically grown.

Winemaking

The elaboration of Méli Mélo follows a meticulous process: approximately one third of the blend is pressed directly, while the rest, composed of destemmed bunches, is left to macerate in the pressed juice for three months. This vinification method, together with the resting of the wine in tanks until the following spring, without filtering or fining and without adding sulphites, brings out the purest expression of the terroir.

Taste

Méli Mélo stands out for its remarkable colour and radiant character, offering an explosion of crushed red fruits, minerals and spices. The aromatic palette is complex, with notes of tart red berries, earth, spices and a subtle funky touch. On the palate, the wine surprises with its texture and the presence of a slightly spicy CO2 at the start, which adds a refreshing and lively dimension. The flavours intertwine with hints of ham, a touch of leather and a mineral base that bears the signature of the Jura. This taste profile, together with its balanced acidity and lingering finish, makes Méli Mélo a unique sensory experience, reflecting the very essence of its origin.
