Description
Le Coste Rosso is a natural red wine produced by Le Coste winery in the Lazio region with grapes of the Grehetto (Sangiovese) variety, with some Ciliegiolo, Colorino and Cannaiolo.
The grapes come from vineyards of about 20 years of average age planted on volcanic soils, rich in iron and minerals.
Winemaking
The grapes from which Le Coste Rosso originates are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture, paying attention to the needs of each individual plant and avoiding the use of chemical products.
The grapes are harvested by hand once the grapes have reached the optimum point of ripeness with a relatively low yield, thus producing concentrated and balanced grapes.
Once in the winery, the grapes are completely destemmed and deposited in wooden vats. They are then fermented with indigenous yeasts and macerated with the skins for about 3 weeks. Finally, it is aged for 12 to 15 months in oak and chestnut barrels.

Le Coste is a winery founded by Gianmarco Antonuzzi and Clémentine Bouveron by the Lago di Bolsena. There their efforts are focused on making natural wines using the techniques of an ecocompatible agriculture with nature and the surrounding landscape. Their vineyards are cultivated following biodynamic principles.
This wine is especially recommended as an aperitif and accompaniment to rice dishes, roasted red meats and smoked meats.
