Description
Le Coste Le Coste is a Gran Reserva red wine produced by the Le Coste winery mainly with Greghetto (Sangiovese) grapes in the Lazio region of Italy.
The grapes come from vineyards of approximately 50 years of average age grown at an altitude of 470 m above sea level and planted on volcanic soils, rich in iron and minerals which results in a fragrant and fresh wine.
Winemaking
The grapes from which Le Coste Le Coste wine is made are cultivated using environmentally friendly farming techniques, paying attention to the needs of each individual plant and avoiding the use of chemical products.
The grapes are harvested by hand once the grapes have reached optimum ripeness with a relatively low yield, thus producing concentrated and balanced grapes.
Once in the winery, the grapes underwent cold maceration for a month before spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in wooden vats.The wine was aged in 500-litre barrels for two years and a little more than 12 months in the bottle before being released onto the market. Bottled without the addition of sulphur dioxide.
Taste
This wine has very delicate fruity aromas and glides effortlessly across the palate. Its robust tannins and present acidity give a magical final result.
