Description
Goliardo A Telleira is a white wine made from Albariño grapes by the Forjas del Salnés winery located in the Salnés wine-growing area, within the Rías Baixas DO.
The grapes come from a single vineyard on sandy soils with pebbles of an average age of 60-80 years old, planted by the sea.
Winemaking
The elaboration of this white wine begins with a grape harvest, manual selection and a first fermentation in large 700-litre oak barrels. At the end of the fermentation process, the Goliardo A Telleira white wine is aged for 12 months in these same barrels. The intention is that the barrels interfere as little as possible to ensure the wine's pure personality.
The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation. Once bottled, it rests for a further 2-3 months at 30 metres under the sea, in a special cage, with constant temperature, pressure and humidity.
Taste
Goliardo A Telleira is full on the palate, with plenty of volume and enveloping, giving way to a long, unctuous finish. It is silky and with a balanced intensity between fruit, creaminess and excellent acidity.
Fine, polished tannins can be appreciated. It has a very persistent and suggestive finish, leaving a slight bitter touch with a saline aftertaste that invites you to refill the glass.
A great Galician Albariño, very expressive.
Goliardo A Telleira is an aged white wine produced by the Bodegas Forjas del Salnés winery under the guidance of the renowned oenologist Raúl Pérez.
Due to its particular winemaking process, the production of Goliardo A Telleira is not very high.
It is an aged white wine with a long evolution in the bottle that will allow it to be enjoyed on many occasions. It is perfect as an aperitif and to accompany it with grilled seafood, cod, raw seafood, cooked seafood and oysters, among others.
