Description
The Bastarda wine of Fedellos Do Couto is a fruity red wine, defined by experts as elegant and subtle, due to the lightness of its taste, but with a degree of depth that remains in the mouth for a long time.
It is made from 100% Bastardo grapes, coming from the Merenzado vines, which are between 15 and 70 years old, determining the particular flavour that characterises it.
Winemaking
The Bastarda de Fedellos Do Couto wine is elaborated under the philosophy followed by this winery, where it is ensured that, from the grape harvest to the bottling, it is carried out with artisan techniques.
After the fruit is harvested, it undergoes a fermentation phase without destemming and in whole bunches, applying low temperatures. No chemical elements that might alter the taste and aroma of the grapes are added.
Finally, the wine is aged for 8 months in a used French oak barrel.
