Pure, precise and bright on the nose, with delicately flinty and spicy aromas, the 2021 Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Spätlese is a fabulously piquant and stimulating Spätlese with mineral intensity, complexity, grip and tension, as if there were electric wires in this wine. It's enormously vital and stimulating. 8.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022.

Description
Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Spätlese is a faithful representative of the Riesling variety, made from 100% Riesling grapes. The grapes come from vineyards that are between 25 and 55 years old, which guarantees exceptional ripeness and concentration in the fruit. This wine is made with a rigorous selection in the vineyard during the manual harvest. In the winery, the wine undergoes a fermentation process and then an ageing period, both carried out in stainless steel tanks, which gives the wine a purity and precision in its aromas and flavours.
Winemaking
Oberhäuser Brücke is a single vineyard plot located directly on the river. The terroir is truly special, with subsoil bedrock and clay shale, covered with clay loess. This terroir, combined with a perfect microclimate, is ideal for producing great sweet Riesling wines. The combination of these factors, together with the passion and experience of the producer, make Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Spätlese an unforgettable wine for any wine lover.

On the palate, it stands out for its mineral intensity, complexity, grip and tension, as if there were electric cables in this wine, making it enormously vital and stimulating. The nose is pure, precise and bright, with delicate aromas of flint and spice. It is a Spätlese (late harvest) that offers a rich aromatic palette, with a wonderful balance between sweet ripe fruit and finely elegant acidity. The declared alcohol content is 8.5%.
