Description
Christian Tschida Brutal is a unique and bold expression of modern winemaking. Produced in the Austrian wine region, this wine stands out for its distinctive character and focus on authenticity.
The basis of this wine is the Pinot Noir grape variety, known for its versatility and ability to reflect the terroir in which it is grown. The vines from which these grapes are sourced are 40 years old, bringing additional depth and complexity to the wine.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and then crushed by foot. This ancestral method allows the grape juices to be extracted in a gentle and controlled manner. Fermentation is carried out in two large vats with indigenous yeasts, without racking. After this process, the wine is aged for 1 year in old oak barrels. It is bottled without fining or filtering and without the addition of sulphur.
Taste
Christian Tschida Brutal has a very light garnet to dark pink colour, reflecting its funky nature. On the nose, aromas of red fruits are revealed, especially strawberry, accompanied by baking spices and a mineral touch. On the palate, the palate is flooded with flavours of strawberry, sour cherries and a touch reminiscent of cherry coke. The acidity is high, with medium tannins, making it refreshing and interesting, in line with the personality of the winery's other wines.
