Charlot Tanneux Les Gouttes D'Or Extra Brut is an exquisite example of the tradition and quality that characterises the champagnes of the Epernay region. This champagne is a harmonious blend of 50% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier, from two parcels located in Chemin et Rue des Gouttes d'Or, in the renowned terroir of Epernay.
Winemaking
Charlot Tanneux Les Gouttes D'Or Extra Brut is fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for a period of 11 months in old 225-litre barrels, a process that contributes significantly to its unique and complex flavour profile. The wine enjoys additional bottle ageing on the lees for at least 36 months. This champagne is distinguished not only by its careful winemaking process, but also by its commitment to biodynamic and sustainable practices . In its production, malolactic fermentation is avoided and there is no fining or filtering, thus preserving the purest and most authentic expression of the grapes. Furthermore, sulphur is used in a very limited way and exclusively in the musts, guaranteeing a final product of the highest quality and with an unmistakable personality.
