Description

Ceretto Langhe Arneis Blangé is an exceptional example of the expression of the indigenous Arneis grape, produced by the renowned Ceretto winery in Piedmont, Italy.
Blangé represents the white side of Piedmont wines; a product that defined an era, revolutionising Langhe winemaking that was previously dedicated exclusively to red grapes. Blangé combines sustainable vineyard practices with a modern perspective. Fruit and minerality, aromatics and balanced freshness coexist in this white wine that has made fun and versatility its hallmark.

Winemaking

The "Blange" vineyard, located on the slopes of Vezza d'Alba, was acquired in 1985 for the sole purpose of planting the white grape Arneis. The name of the wine comes from the French word "boulanger", or baker, as, according to legend, this is where Napoleon's bakers set up camp when his armies ventured into the area.

Taste

Ceretto Blangé is a medium-bodied, fresh and fragrant white. Visually it has a bright straw yellow colour. On the nose, it is mineral and intensely fruity, with clear notes of ripe pear and green apple. The palate is fragrant, flavoursome, fresh and with a lingering finish. It is ideal with fish dishes and appetizers, risotto with vegetables and savoury pies.
