Description
Bertha Brut Nature Gran Reserva Cardús is a sparkling wine made from a traditional blend of 50% Xarel-lo, 27% Macabeo and 23% Parellada, by the Bertha winery in Penedès Catalonia.
This wine comes from a blend of native Penedès varieties grown in clay-limestone soils and under the influence of the Mediterranean Sea. The vineyards are worked using traditional agricultural techniques.
Elaboration
The grapes of Bertha Cardús Gran Reserva Brut Nature are harvested by hand. On arrival at the winery, the wine is vinified according to the traditional method, with a first fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by carbonic fermentation at 13 °C in the same bottle, where it is aged for a minimum of 36 months in the dark cellars of the winery.

Bertha Cardús Gran Reserva Brut Nature is a traditional wine made from Xarel-lo, Macabeo and Parellada where the fruity, citrus and floral aromas of the long ageing process are intermingled. On the palate it is creamy, warm, with an excellent and well-balanced acidity and a long and persistent finish.
