Sourced from a small hilltop plot in the south of Vilafranca del Penedès, this wine is distinguished by its deep connection with the land, offering enviable richness and complexity. The southern orientation of the plot and the rows of vines arranged from east to west contribute to its unique character.
Winemaking
Amós Bañeres Vinya Oculta is a reflection of Amós Bañeres' commitment to purity and stability, without the use of additives. Vinification is carried out in old barrels, which adds an extra dimension to its profile. The first vintage was made in 2011, marking the beginning of a journey of learning and experimentation. The wine is aged for 11 months in 300-litre French oak barrels, resting on its full lees. This process contributes to its extraordinary silky texture and aromatic complexity.
